Qatar General Organization for Standards and
Metrology (QGOSM) made public the initiation of a pro-active
inspection drive that targeted a number of car agents and auto
spare-part outlets. The campaign's findings proved highly positive.
Many samples of brakes, gears and sealing parts were withdrawn for
testing and verifying their being free from 'asbestos' hazards
(widely blamed for causing fatal cancer.
QGOSM pointed out that the inspection has sent a strong signal of
QGOSM's commitment towards supporting the hygiene and safety of
citizens and residents, in line with the efforts dedicated towards
environment conservation. |
